This is a W.I.P? It sounds near perfect.

Honestly, the beginning was kind of meh but it gradually picked up and became really cool. That bit in the middle used as a lead-in sounded a bit like the Batman theme. xD

Sounds like it would fit nicely for a party.

Ekojo responds:

Haha thanks. Yes it's definitely a W.I.P You said it yourself, the beginning is just meh and I was thinking it needed work. And the middle sounds like the batman theme?! Hahahahahaha that's awesome. I never thought of it like that. Anyway thank you for the review.

You, sir, have done an amazing job!

I really love catchy beats and the hip-hop beat in the background was just awesome. I really wish I could make one like that but most of my drum beats just range from lame to mild. :<

Everything else in the song complemented the beat nicely.

Oh, and you should really get a name for this than "Untitled".

Twistedtechnology responds:

Thanks! I cant really find a name for it lol. I will continue to think of one and when I do, i'll change it XD Have you tried dropping your bpm anywhere from 94 to 96? this is at 94 lol.

Honestly, this genre of music doesn't really appeal to me. Much prefer songs with a sweeping theme going for it than so many random psychedelic effects.

You kind of did make it a bit Indian, but everything else kind of drowns that out by the end.

AKACCMIOF responds:

Wow, well thanks for honest critical opinion :) Thing is I think with Indian music, is that it has always kinda carried a programmatic philosophy, which back in the classical era tended to mean you have one theme which symbolises and represents an emotion/ image which is then manipulated. Things have moved on though, in East and West with the leitmotif technique becoming pretty much universal. For this reason, I thought it might be a better modernisation of the raag techniques and the Indian classical philosophy if I used a number of motifs depicting different moods to paint the image of the last great Maurya battle.

I understand your critique of the D/s elements being somewhat overpowering and at times "random", and in a way that distracts from the psychedelic, meditative mood, but I chose to use such chaotic sounds to paint a picture of a time that wasn't peaceful or meditative, a time when the sanatan dharma was taken as coherent with imperialism and tribal warfare. People forget, I think, how much Ashoka the Great's reign changed things.

Not everyone will like dubstep (or indeed any form of dark, dissonant dynamic music), and it would be boring if everyone did, but I think it's somewhat shallow to dismiss a song out of hand for using such influences. Honest criticism will always be welcome though :)

LOVE the background beat. Even by itself, it can pass as a pretty good jazz song. xD

Great job. You should do more of these.

Well first things first, I love music. All kinds, even if it's background OST for movies. ^^ I'm not really an animator or an artist (I doodle around sometimes), but I do enjoy listening to music and trying out making music myself with FL Studio.
